Creating Value For Your Consumers

value

The marketplace in which many businesses operate within has become fiercely competitive due to the decreased consumption patterns of consumers. As consumers become more hesitant about how their money is spent businesses likewise mimic the same behavioral patterns. The problem with this though is that businesses cannot operate in this manner because it does not resonate well with consumers. As a business you operate in order to make a profit; consumers consume in order to satisfy specific needs and wants. If consumers feel that they are being given low quality products and services they transition their consuming patterns elsewhere. Businesses on the other hand cannot just reposition their consumer base instantly without suffering numerous setbacks which can be very costly. This means that businesses must truly create value for their consumers especially during these challenging times in order to remain competitive amongst the varying options competitors present to consumers. The Business Process

business process

Business is a process that involves many different variables that all combine to formulate into an operating organization. Variables are the components which help to add substance to the overall picture by connecting the many dots that are necessary for efficient processing. Many people make the mistake of thinking business is a straight-forward act that moves from idea to acceptation without having any important in-between destinations. Not recognizing the importance of strategic planning and the execution of correlating initiatives that create the opportunity for success severely limits the chances of seeing progressive development. You see the idea is just the beginning stage and not necessarily the most important element within the process. The initiatives that lead to the execution of the proposed idea is what truly matters and is what sets successful businesses apart from dreamers and wishers. Read the rest of this entry

Why a Diverse Income Stream is Needed

If you are dependent on one source of income I highly recommend that you discontinue the habit. In today’s economic environment, the volatile nature of uncertainty leads to the disruption of the normality in which people are accustomed to living within. That means when something is seen as normal it becomes a part of your natural function, leading you to believe its process is unchanging. Since we are talking about income; I will describe how careers and jobs become an illusionary trap in which people become fooled by their outward perception of stability. Read the rest of this entry

Why You Do Not Want a NFL Ref Lockout Situation

To put it plain and simple the replacement refs covering the NFL games are pretty much horrific, a complete embarrassment to the organization. Currently the NFL is in a lockout situation with the veteran refs who have years of experience covering NFL games and also have years of knowledge when it comes to rules and game play. The refs in place have no such experience or knowledge and it really shows when you are forced to watch these horribly called games. It is as if every week it gets worse and worse, leaving you puzzled in amazement as to how this debacle can continue to go on. Blatant calls that any fan can make seem to be blind to these replacements and this is even with them having the luxury of replay review. It seems like the refs want to outdo themselves on how much more inefficient and dumbfounded they can become. The whole occurring fiasco is a major distraction for the NFL and just continuous to further piss off fans, players and coaches. Read the rest of this entry

Why Apple’s iPhone 5 Set a Sales Record

2 million pre-orders in 24 hours is what Apple recorded for the long-awaited arrival of its much-anticipated iPhone 5. That is double the amount of pre-order sales recorded last year for the iPhone 4. Insane right? During these trying economic times it speaks volumes about what can be accomplished with the right formula in your possession. Apple seems to have found the right formula when it comes to the products it provides and the messages of innovation that go hand in hand with their production. Apple’s two main attractions; the iPhone and iPad always seem to produce hyper anticipation but why is this so? Simply put they understand the needs and wants of their market? Competition is Fierce

Lately I have been noticing that some opposing players within what I call the thought leaders of the entrepreneurial community have been stifling others that they view as competitors. I say this because it seems like they do not like others sharing their own knowledge and information to what they view as “their audience”. Instead of letting the audience hear ideas and produce conversation from varying perspectives, they block out anyone promoting theories opposing their own. Maybe they fear those they view as considerable competition, maybe they want the audience to focus only on what they have to offer; whatever the reason it pushes me to want to strategically outwit them at their game of checkers by playing a masterful game of chess. Can Entrepreneurs Create Enough Jobs?

As many of you may know, we will be voting in November to elect a new president or voting to have our current one stick around for four more years. Now I do not want to make this a political post but have pointed out this fact because two issues will be of critical importance during their campaigning process: the economy and job creation. These are two issues that everyone wants answered but contrarily produces answers that everyone does not agree with. Ideas and opinions tend to cause those type of reactions though because everyone does not have the same experiences or views as to how the world should operate. This is where we come to those people who hold certain ideas and viewpoints and see to it that they are put into motion in order to provide a solution. These people can be your political leaders, your corporate leaders, your community leaders or those we call entrepreneurs. For this post we will focus on those called entrepreneurs. Understanding The Global Economy

Lately you may have been hearing the terms “global economy” and “global competitiveness”. Just as the name states the global economy is an economy that is dependent on production and consumption on a global scale. This means that production at one place can equate to products being consumed at another location thousands of miles away. This would seem like a great situation but the advantages of a global economy can sometimes seem minimal compared to its disadvantages. What disadvantages can come from a globally connected marketplace you may ask. Let’s take a look at the global economy and how it shapes the economy and job market we all operate within. Lessons Learned from The Godfather

If I have not mentioned it before; gangster crime films and series provide some of the best entertainment and education for me. The strategic planning and business savvy these stories depict demonstrate the complexity of human nature and the lengths people go to in order to be well off in this tough competitive world. About 2 weeks ago it was the 40th anniversary of The Godfathers creation so the film saga was being shown throughout the week. While watching the films I begin to really see the entrepreneurial and the business mindset that was an important aspect within the film’s storyline. Even though the film saga revolves around crime the business element speaks loudly and illustrates that entrepreneurship was an integral part of the Corleone crime empire. What is Entrepreneurial Thinking?

Lately you might be hearing the terms “entrepreneurial mindset” and “think like an entrepreneur” being used a lot. Viewing things within an entrepreneur lens and operating like an entrepreneur has become the latest trend or better yet the latest business philosophy. This way of thinking and doing things is now being identified as the best way to produce innovative ideas and to help towards developing a vibrant job market.
