The marketplace in which many businesses operate within has become fiercely competitive due to the decreased consumption patterns of consumers. As consumers become more hesitant about how their money is spent businesses likewise mimic the same behavioral patterns. The problem with this though is that businesses cannot operate in this manner because it does not resonate well with consumers. As a business you operate in order to make a profit; consumers consume in order to satisfy specific needs and wants. If consumers feel that they are being given low quality products and services they transition their consuming patterns elsewhere. Businesses on the other hand cannot just reposition their consumer base instantly without suffering numerous setbacks which can be very costly. This means that businesses must truly create value for their consumers especially during these challenging times in order to remain competitive amongst the varying options competitors present to consumers. Business is a process that involves many different variables that all combine to formulate into an operating organization. Variables are the components which help to add substance to the overall picture by connecting the many dots that are necessary for efficient processing. Many people make the mistake of thinking business is a straight-forward act that moves from idea to acceptation without having any important in-between destinations. Not recognizing the importance of strategic planning and the execution of correlating initiatives that create the opportunity for success severely limits the chances of seeing progressive development. Why a Diverse Income Stream is Needed
If you are dependent on one source of income I highly recommend that you discontinue the habit. In today’s economic environment, the volatile nature of uncertainty leads to the disruption of the normality in which people are accustomed to living within. That means when something is seen as normal it becomes a part of your natural function, leading you to believe its process is unchanging. Unemployment, Low-Wages & Entrepreneurship
CNN Money recently had an article posted on its website called “The low-wage jobs explosion.” The article basically explained how the resurgence in the job market has largely been fueled by low-wage jobs. These are the type of jobs that can barely, if at all cover the basic necessities for one to live comfortably. Matter of fact let’s take out the word comfortably and just say to maintain a reasonable standard of living. This means a continual erosion of the middle class is occurring in our American society. As the middle class is progressively shifted downwards, government assistance is elevated in order for people to acquire the basic goods and services no longer afforded to them. Why a Vision is Needed
Is it possible to travel towards a destination without having knowledge of where you are going? Not really. It would be very difficult to navigate when you are unaware of your surroundings and unsure of how to exactly move forward. If we were to examine the majority of people in the world today we would see that they have no sense of vision; no sure answer to the direction in which their life is headed. These are the people who constantly complain about the status of their life but offer up no solutions of their own in order to change their current predicament. They have no idea where their future is headed, they just know that the present is not working in their favor. Can this description be used to describe your entrepreneurial journey/ your life? Why a Strategy is Important
Have you noticed that when you try to do something all at once you usually fail? You are so determined to do everything at the same time causing yourself to waste more time rather than being productive with your time. You are operating in a blur rather than streamlining your actions in an efficient manner which allows you to actually perform well. Maybe it is due to the instant society we live within that makes us believe everything has to come about in an instant manner. It is July 4th; fireworks are being exploded, barbeques are being cooked and people are enjoying the holiday as a whole. Today is supposed to represent a day of independence but does the concept of the day still apply in our present state of affairs? America is in a dismal state and most people who live within its boundaries reflect this sentiment.
